Nibble Tray Lunch for My Favorite Toddler Boy!
Do you have a picky toddler? I am pretty lucky. My little guy will eat most anything, but I will admit that his is weird when it comes to meat. If I cook a casserole, he eats all around the meat and leaves it behind. Sometimes he eats the meat out of a sandwich and sometimes he doesn't. My sister is vegetarian so I don't push the issue too much. Maybe he doesn't like it.
However, I do think it is important for us to keep introducing foods to our kids so that they have an opportunity to try them. There are many, many foods that I did not think I liked, but I eat them now.
A Boy and His Lunch had a nibble tray lunch the other day and as soon as I saw it, I remembered that I have a Nibble Tray! So, I pulled it out for this lunch and thought I would share it. I tried to find my previous lunches that were packed in this tray, but can't seem to find them. Hmmm...I did find a cute one by my friend over at a We're Not Afraid of Sugar!
Ty has goldfish and ranch dressing in the top part of the pineapple. Under that he has some chicken mixed in with some broccoli. I am hoping he will try it! Under that he has grapes and white cheddar cheese. He actually loves to eat anything that he thinks belongs to Daddy so he has some of Daddy's sausage, carrots, and apple sauce.
Notice how I spaced the meats out in between things he will eat? This is a tactic that has worked for me in the past. So we are going to cross our fingers.
Have you had success with getting your child to expand his/her appetite? I would love to hear how you did it! Feel free to leave a comment below or head on over to my FB page to discuss it!
